JULY 14, 2022/DOWNERS GROVE, IL -- Voter Reference Foundation added voter registration data from Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington to its searchable database at VoteRef.com

The database now covers 28 states and the District of Columbia. The database represents 59 percent of the voting population nationwide.

Mississippi, Missouri, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington join Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin in addition to the District of Columbia.

VRF Executive Director Gina Swoboda said that the database is reaching an important point.

“We have a crisis of confidence in the elections process and the voter rolls are a focal point,” Swoboda said. “We need the public to have access to the voter rolls to do the public oversight required under the National Voter Registration Act.”

Swoboda continued: “Transparency is essential to free and fair elections, and our goal is to help ensure that people have the tools they need to have full confidence in the integrity of their vote.”

About Voter Reference Foundation and VoteRef.com:
Voter Reference Foundation was created by Restoration Action, an educational 501c4 organization founded by West Point graduate and successful entrepreneur Doug Truax. A former U.S. Senate candidate in Illinois, Truax is deeply interested in election integrity, as expressed in this 2021 op-ed in American Greatness and 2022 follow-up op-ed in Real Clear Politics.

VoteRef.com is a permanent reference source where the voter rolls and other tools will be stored and updated for review with each election. Those who access the website can search by name or address for registered voters. They also will be able to examine voter histories — a list of elections that voters participated in, as well as other important election data obtained via official sources.
